Translation
During my career, I have had the opportunity to translate specialized documents across a wide range of fields: reports on economic and public health issues, national policy, agriculture and climate change, as well as press releases and speeches.
I translate documents that require eloquent, fluent drafting, as well as highly technical reports. The majority of my clients are United Nations agencies (FAO, IFAD, PAHO, WFP and WHO, among others) and other international organizations, such as the IDB and the IMF, which have hired me on temporary contracts (in-house and remote), retainer contracts and long-term contracts. I also work regularly with government institutions and various non-governmental organizations.
I adapt to specialized terminology and house style, and have tools and methods that help to ensure consistency within a publication and between different versions of a publication or multi-year publications. I identify potential issues in source texts and discuss optimal solutions with clients, and I am open to discussing rush projects with the tightest of deadlines. I translate from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign and other formats.

I am familiar with the best Spanish-language specialized resources and am skilled at producing clear, polished texts.

I have taught many courses on productivity-enhancing tools for translators, both in person and online, for associations such as Asetrad and Tremédica. I have also delivered workshops on translation technology tools for international organizations.
